Takeuchi Excavator Provides Zero Tail Swing

The Takeuchi TB53FR combines the advantages of a zero tail swing excavator with a patented, side-to-side offset boom system.

New on the machine is an Interference prevention system that controls the boom's range of motion to prevent the bucket from contacting the operator station. Additional safety features include standard travel alarm, TOPS/FOPS canopy or cab, retractable seat belt and a control tower lockout system of the excavator's operating controls and travel levers. Push button controls for the auxiliary hydraulic circuit, horn and engine decelerator are all conveniently located on the joystick controls for improved operator comfort and control.

“The TB53FR is another tool in the rental industry tool belt,” says Dan Rafferty, product sales manager. “The excavator offers operators of all experience levels the opportunity to work with confidence next to walls, close to traffic and other confined or restricted areas.”

The excavator features a tilt-up operator's platform for quick service access. An engine shutdown/return to idle system helps guard against abnormal engine temperature or oil pressure conditions and a standard ISO-SAE control pattern selector valve enables operators to quickly choose their preferred operating control pattern. The fuel system automatically bleeds air from a fuel-depleted system, and its cast iron, wrap-around counterweight ensures stable, sure-footed operation when handling heavy loads. Also standard are fully plumbed one- and two-way auxiliary hydraulics and a 2-speed travel system with a maximum ground speed of 3.2 mph.
