The Volvo EC35C compact excavator features a conventional excavator design for stability with minimal superstructure swing. It has a cast-steel X-frame undercarriage for sturdy operation and improved load distribution, and is powered by a low emission, water-cooled Volvo diesel engine. The EC35C features a forward-style cab with right-side mounted engine for enhanced service accessibility. Service points have also been placed together for fast daily maintenance. The EC35C is also equipped with a standard auto-idling system that lowers engine speed to idle if the operator does not use the controls for five seconds.
