Forestry Machine Focuses on Keeping Operators Clean and Comfortable

ASV unveils its PT-100 Forestry compact track loader, a special version of ASV's largest compact track loader that comes fully outfitted for environments such as forestry applications. Standard features include an all-new sealed and pressurized cab, large dual-pressurization filters, a high-performance air conditioner and heater, and full forestry guarding. The unit also features a 99.9-hp diesel engine and 306 foot-pounds of torque, and uses 40 gpm, 3,650 psi auxiliary hydraulics with an advanced load-sensing system.

“The PT-100 Forestry comes fully outfitted for safe and productive work in rugged applications, such as land clearing and other forestry work,” says Hannah Tanata, marketing manager for ASV. “This machine has a truly sealed and pressurized cab, which keeps operators clean and comfortable even in extremely dusty conditions.”

Designed to work in even the most severe conditions, the PT-100 loader uses a new auto-reversing fan to keep the machine's cooling system running at peak performance. Requiring less downtime for cleaning away debris, the unit uses a pneumatic pump to periodically change the pitch of the fan blades, reversing air flow. Debris that collects on the hood screens' radiator is purged, extending the time between radiator cleanings. Also standard is a screened engine pre-cleaner, and heavy-duty skid-plates, which are hinged to allow access for cleaning out debris and other routine machine maintenance.
