Interim Engine Incorporated on Versatile Compact Tractor

The CT450 compact tractor is the largest compact tractor in Bobcat Company's line, featuring a 50-hp interim Tier-4 diesel engine, hydrostatic transmission and three travel speeds. The CT450 weighs 3,935 pounds, is 69 inches wide with agricultural tires, 134.3 inches long and 95.5 inches high with the ROPS deployed. The rated operating capacity for the front-end loader is 2,600 pounds and the unit has a maximum three-point-lift capacity of 2,625 pounds.

The CT450 features a category 1 three-point hitch and rear power take-off, enabling it to use various rear implements such as angle blades, mowers, augers, backhoes, tillers, snow blowers and box blades.

“Rental store owners can also outfit the CT450 with a front-end loader that features the Bob-Tach quick attachment mounting system,” says Bryan Zent, marketing manager for Bobcat. “With the Bob-Tach system, a customer can easily switch between front-end attachments, such as buckets or pallet forks, to fit their needs on a jobsite.”

The compact tractor can be used in harsh environments involving dust, debris, moisture and extreme temperatures because it is designed to be durable to stand up to these conditions with features such as metal hoods and fenders, sealed electrical connections, two-stage air filters and a sealed engine compartment. The unit is also designed to be easy to maintain and service. Cooling fluid levels and air filters can be checked with the full-open hood that lifts easily. The radiator and hydraulic cooler screens are also easy to check and clean by lifting the hood.
