Husqvarna introduces its DXR 270 demolition robot, which is suited for both indoor and outdoor work. Developed with the user in mind, the DXR 270’s new outriggers provide a wider footprint, which increases stability and accommodates a greater workload.
The fixed arm has a steady, rugged design that delivers precise positioning of the tool and requires minimum service. It has a reach of 16 feet, a weight of 3,860 pounds and a short chassis of 31 inches wide. The compact size allows it to fit through normal-sized doorways and be used on weight-sensitive jobsites. In addition, the low height enables the operator to clearly see over the machine while working, making operation more efficient and safe.
“We have developed the DXR 270 because we have seen a demand for lighter units in this class,” says Lars Gustafsson, global product manager, Husqvarna Construction. “With its compact design and low weight, it is easy to transport as it fits through all normal doorways and can be transported in most lifts.”
Like all other Husqvarna DXR demolition robots, the DXR 270 is controlled by an easy-to-use remote control with a 3 1/2-inch color display and Bluetooth technology. The control system is adapted to handle tough demolition environments characterized by high vibrations, concrete dust and water.
The DXR 270 is applicable for most work related to concrete demolition and smaller excavation, both indoors and out.
