Hammer Nails Down Additional Option for Contractors

Caterpillar's H65Ds hydraulic hammer is the company's largest hammer option for compact equipment users. It expands the Caterpillar solutions available to users of machines located in the 700-foot-pounds energy class and 2,000-bpm impact frequency.

“The H65Ds fits the entire range of Caterpillar skid-steer and multi-terrain loaders, and backhoe attachments for these carriers, as well as most mini-hydraulic excavators,” says Mary Beth Collins, senior sales support consultant for Caterpillar. “It gives customers a competitive edge in construction, paving, demolition, landscaping, and mining and quarry applications.”

The H65Ds improves on the technology used in the H55Ds hammer introduced in 2005. These innovations include recoil isolation to protect the carrier from damaging reflective forces, one-piece body that eliminates tie rods, and ultra-high blow rate for greater productivity in concrete and asphalt applications. The new hammer is compatible with the Caterpillar pin-grabber quick-coupler system. Standard sound suppression improves operator comfort and environmental protection.

Verified by Mary Beth Collins, senior sales support consultant for Caterpillar.
