Concrete & Masonry Saws Product Spotlight

Husqvarna

The new K 3000 Wet is an electric power cutter that allows the user to cut indoors easily and cost-effectively, without dust. Equipped with a newly developed wet-cutting kit that regulates the flow of water and concentrates the spray into a stream and then onto the blade, the K 3000 houses specially designed nozzles in specific positions along the blade guard to help keep water flow use to a minimum.

Stone Construction Equipment

The Stone Saw Devil MS1 and MS2 masonry block saws are offered with a variety of engine and blade guard options. All-steel frames, sealed bearings and stationary engine platforms are designed to stand up to complicated block cutting. The saws also feature cast aluminum cutting cards with nylon wheels and non-slip rubber tops; an open-back design to allow rip cutting the entire length of larger blocks; an easy-to-clean polyethylene blade guard that provides 210 degrees of blade coverage; and stay-level blade guards with full blade clamp coverage to keep the blade parallel to the cutting surface.

Hilti

The Hilti DCH 230 and DCH 300 electric diamond cutters feature a 2.6-kw motor and cutting depth adjustment mechanism. Designed exclusively for cutting, the DCH 230 and DCH 300 are suited for rental because they feature an intelligent electronic control system that constantly regulates motor power to suit the material being cut and the pressure applied to the tool. Applications include the thickest materials such as reinforced concrete, granite curbstones, slabs, bricks, metal beams, steel pipes and more.

Chicago Pneumatic Construction Tools

The SAW 16 model (pictured) hydraulic-powered cut-off saw features a 16-inch blade and cuts to a depth of 6.3 inches, while the SAW 14 has a 14-inch blade with a maximum cutting depth of 5.2 inches. The saws feature a simple direct-drive configuration that provides consistent speed and torque during use. The design also minimizes overall maintenance requirements, especially when compared with belt-driven saws. An open cutting face simplifies use in even the most difficult conditions, and the saws are engineered to be versatile enough for demolition, underwater repairs and utility maintenance work.

Diamond Products

The new Core Cut CC150-EE early-entry walk-behind saw features a 4.8-hp Honda GX-160 engine and a patent-pending skid plate adjustment mechanism designed to last the life of several blades. With no need for adapters, the CC150-EE uses a 6-inch blade with 1-inch arbor, a mechanical blade depth control, and a 1 3/16-inch cutting depth. The saw also features two front polyurethane, non-marking wheels for greater stability.

Wacker Neuson

Wacker Neuson's walk-behind saws are designed for better cutting performance, easy operation, longer life and reduced maintenance. The engine is placed forward on the unit, directly over the cutting area, to better distribute the majority of the machine's weight, allowing it to pull the saw forward with less effort and provide straighter, more stable and faster cuts. A long-life, state-of-the-art poly V-belt provides direct power transmission from the engine to the cutting shaft. Double-sealed bearings keep concrete and dust out, reducing maintenance and prolonging the life of the bearings.

Doosan Infracore Portable Power

The WS Series concrete saws offer cutting depths from 4.6 to 15 inches with 12- to 36-inch blades. The WS Series saws are designed for contraction and expansion joints, cuts for utility installations, patch repairs in asphalt and concrete, short-run slab cutting, trenching and traffic loop installation. The heavy-duty, 7-gauge steel frame on the WS Series concrete saws provides a solid platform, reducing vibration for straighter, faster cuts. A sturdy frame extends the life of the blade. The WS Series is built with steel splashguards to enhance safety by keeping slurry and material fragments away from the operator.
