The PaverPacker 50 compactor from Pave Tech comes equipped with a Hatz 1B20 pull-start diesel engine with an oil bath air filter. The machine travels at 90 feet per minute on top of pavers. The PaverPacker 50 has 5,000 pounds of centrifugal force. The plate is 16 inches long by 24 inches wide and comes with a mounted wheel kit.

Allied Construction Products

Allied Construction Products introduces the Skid-Pac Model 1000, which features vibratory compactor technology and is mounted on a skid-steer loader. It can travel quickly over soil in flatwork and is designed to deliver increased impact energy. The Skid-Pac features a four-function valve and maintenance-free oil splash bearing lubrication. A 9-foot square base plate covers the outside width of the skid-steer tires to eliminate marks in the soil. This attachment fits all manufacturers' skid steers in the 4,000-pound to 14,000-pound weight range that use the universal-mounting quick-change couplers.

MBW

MBW's GP3550 vibratory plate travels at a speed of 110 feet per minute, which is 20-percent faster than the GP3000, the previous model. The new machine features a deck equipped with a full roll cage as standard equipment with provisions for an optional water tank for asphalt compaction. The base plate is self-cleaning with an open-sided plate design that allows material to flow out and away from the belt/pulley assembly during operation.

Multiquip's Mikasa one-way plate compactors are designed to compact asphalt, sand, gravel and granular soils and are available in 13 models ranging from the MVC-40G to the MVC-90H. These plate compactors are designed for work in foundations, seawalls, slopes, trenches and other confined spaces. The PAC plate compactors have the vibrating force to drive sheet pile into the ground or pound sign-posts into granular soils. All plate compactors in the PAC line have an operating pressure of 2,300 pounds per square inch and a maximum back pressure of 100 pounds per square inch.
