Compact radius excavators

The R27Z-9 and R35Z-0 (pictured) zero-tail-swing compact radius excavators from Hyundai Construction offer a tail-swing radius of 2.7 feet and 2.10 feet respectively. The 6,350-pound R27Z-9 is powered by a 23.1-hp Mitsubishi S3L2 engine, and has a dig depth of 8 feet, 2 inches and bucket-digging force of 4,520 pounds. The R35Z-9 weighs 8,050 pounds and is powered by a 26.5-hp Yanmar 3TNV88, a water-cooled, four-cycle engine. The unit has a dig depth of 10 feet, 4 inches and bucket digging force of 7,050 pounds. Both machines come with either rubber or steel tracks. As with all compact-radius excavators from Hyundai, the machines have adjustable seats and armrests, large foot pedals, ergonomic joysticks, air conditioners, MP3 player/AM-FM radios and water- and dust-proofing seals. www.hyundai-ce.com/
