Acme Lift National Service Manager, Mesa, Ariz.; Regional Managers, Gulf Coast, Pacific Coast
Acme Lift Co., the world’s largest wholesale rental company specializing in large aerial work platforms and boom trucks, has immediate openings for a national service manager based at the company’s headquarters in Mesa, Ariz., and two regional managers – one in the Gulf Coast area, the other in the Pacific Coast area.
National service manager responsibilities include maintenance, repair and safety (including controlling expenses), formulating a budget and working with vendors, customers and support staff. Daily responsibilities include coordinating all maintenance-related items for the company’s North American-based rental fleet, reviewing and authorizing all repairs, locating appropriate outside repair facilities and negotiating supply agreements.
Ideal candidates for national service manager must have the following organizational and customer service skills:
- Experience in managing the repair and maintenance of a large aerial or construction equipment fleet.
- Knowledge of ANSI standards and the inspection/compliance process.
- Ability to budget and manage repair costs consistent with the company’s annual budget.
- Knowledge of and experience in managing manufacturer’s warranty claims process.
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in the fleet maintenance field.
- Minimum of five years managing process and staff.
- Knowledge of remote contracting for maintenance.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook in management-related work.
- Experience in the aerial and crane rental industry a plus.
Ideal candidates for regional managers must have the following organizational and customer selling skills:
- Experience in calling on major accounts at a principal level in the equipment rental or construction equipment field.
- Experience in territory management.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in sales or sales management.
- Excellent presentation skills at a principal or decision-maker level.
- Ability to travel extensively within territory.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and Power Point in management-related work.
- Knowledge of the equipment rental industry and specific knowledge of aerial work platforms.
- Ideal candidates will reside in the Houston, Texas/Gulf Coast and Southern California/Pacific Coast areas and have the ability to manage 70 percent to 75 percent overnight travel.
