Rigger Supervisor/Foreman, Arcola, Texas

Essex Crane Rental Corp. is one of the leading heavy crane rental and service businesses in North America with over 350 cranes and attachments in its fleets. This position reports directly to the Texas Regional Operations Manager and works mainly in the yard but may travel to customer sites as needed.

Job qualifications and experience:
Rigger Supervisor/Foreman supervises and coordinates activities of workers engaged in installation and repair of rigging, and in hoisting and positioning machinery and equipment on crawler cranes.

  • Dependable, with strong problem solving skills and an excellent safety record
  • Must be a high school graduate or equivalent
  • At least 5 years of experience with cranes or heavy equipment, reporting, repair, maintenance, shop and yard order
  • Good mathematical skills and the ability to read and write effectively
  • Required to have and maintain CCO Operators License and Lattice Boom Certification
  • Willingness to travel (minimum)
  • Prepare work order documentation and intermediate computer skills
  • Good communication and organization skills

Physical job requirements:
Job position is very physical and requires the individual to be able to perform duties and work long hours outdoors in a variety of weather.

  • Extensive requirement to climb, pull, stretch, twist onto large crawler cranes
  • Climbing and working at heights of 25 feet with proper tie off and safety equipment
  • Must be flexible and mobile to work in confined areas and able to stoop, crawl and maneuver in small confined spaces
  • Distant vision of 20/40 or better in each eye separately and binocular, with or without correction
  • Repetitive lifting and carrying of 50-75 lbs
  • Long hours of standing or sitting may be required
