Baseplan Software is a well-established and fast-growing ERP software company specializing in the fleet management and rental equipment industries.

Baseplan is expanding and looking for a highly-motivated and experienced Director of Sales to join the team. The ideal candidate will have a background in the rental construction equipment industry and/or experience with ERP solution selling. This position will be responsible for Baseplan’s North America’s sales strategy and growing the North American customer base.

Develop new business and grow the customer base in North America.

What you will be doing:
•    Networking and meeting with potential clients (travel)
•    Manage a sales pipeline for new business for potential clients
•    Develop proposals for the supply and installation of the system
•    Actively promote and attend Trade shows, industry functions and other Marketing actives
•    Develop new business sales plans
•    Report on sales activities
•    Meet quarterly and annual sales targets

•    Ensure all KPI documentation is available
•    Ensure client call cycle is developed and adhered to for potential clients
•    Establish a thorough understanding of potential client business operations (all facets), to anticipate future client requirements.
•    Ensure all potential client interaction is detailed and pro-actively managed in the Baseplan CRM.
•    Actively monitor and report on opposition activity within the market.
•    Collaborate with the Global Sales Team
•    Liaise with Management to promote and manage potential clients’ requirements, issues and opportunities
•    Prepare proposals for new projects and implementations, including budgets
•    Maintain all documentation as required for the role and provide updated documentation for the team
•    Prepare documentation for yearly planning (e.g. call cycles, client budget spends, sales budgeting)
•    Communicate with all stakeholders

Specific Experience:
•    Rental, Dealership and Construction Equipment background
•    Experience with Solution Selling
•    Understanding of ERP software
•    Previous experience in a client-facing role with sales at a corporate level
•    Strong understanding of software development life cycle
