Software Solution Gives Users Total Control

RSC Equipment Rental's Total Control is a software solution created to provide a complete range of rental management capabilities directly to the customer. This web-based program enables customers to quickly locate equipment, track its usage, and schedule on-rent/off-rent dates and times. The program provides complete, up-to-the-minute data about all equipment on a jobsite, including third-party items and even the customer's own fleet. Total Control can also monitor the fleet for re-fueling and maintenance checks, along with the status of employee safety training on equipment. The software program is designed to make it easier for visitors to manage equipment selection, order equipment and schedule deliveries online, and validate fuel charges, freight billings and damage claims.

Complete Training Package and Virtual Simulation

John Deere's integrated web-based learning, PC-based virtual simulation technology, instructor-led training and instructional design strategies are designed to create a total operator training solution. Real-world tasks, safety-focused and portability ensure operators can be trained anywhere. As a part of John Deere's Comprehensive Operator Training Solution, the Excavator Simulator, available at dealerships, offers integrated student record-keeping tasks to enhance learning transfer, jobsite budget scoring, foot pedals and a focus on safety with real-time feedback. The tasks included in the simulator are an operator controls overview, placement for trenching, end-of-day parking, load a truck from a bench, dig a level trench, set a trench box, pick up and place pipe and load onto a trailer. The scores are based on a jobsite budget. Real-time feedback allows participants to correct mistakes and be made aware of potential hazards before they are encountered.

Website Relaunch Premiers Product and How-To Videos

Diteq recently launched its updated website, www.diteq.com, which includes a resource center for information on products and application topics. The resource center will be updated periodically with new and timely information, including videos introducing many of the company's diamond tools and equipment. It also provides information such as how diamond blades work, how to calculate surface feet per minute and cost per cut, as well as maximum rpm, depth and blade specification guidelines. Diteq plans to also offer training videos with product demonstrations on its site. The site also features a page dedicated to videos of Diteq president Dan Steiner discussing various topics including “Discover the Diteq difference” and “The secret of renting diamond blades.” Diteq is headquartered in Lee's Summit, Mo., and manufactures diamond tools and construction-related equipment.
