Hilti's Tool Fleet Management System Cost Effectively Adds Fleet

Hilti is proud of its history of innovation, quality tools and customer service. And with today's business climate full of capital and financing challenges, the company reminded customers attending The Rental Show in March that it combines all three of those qualities in its Tool Fleet Management System, a streamlined process designed to help eliminate the costly administrative hassles associated with running a tool fleet.

Rental customers can employ Hilti's Tool Fleet Management solution to cost effectively add multiple tools to their fleet for one monthly invoice that covers all tool-related costs, including tool usage, repairs and customized services. Each tool is replaced by the company at a specified time (between 12 to 48 months) with the latest generation on the market to ensure that costly downtime is eliminated and that the company's tool fleet is constantly updated with products featuring the latest safety standards.

“A customer can pay for a product for, let's say, $30 a month for four years, and in about 34 daily rentals that product will pay for itself,” explained Tim Mautino, director, alternate business channels, for Tulsa, Okla.-based Hilti Inc. “Plus, the warranty is extended to 4 years under the fleet management program.”

The program doesn't require an up-front cash outlay for fleet upgrades, because the company provides one payment and invoice per month, helping to reduce administrative costs by up to 50 percent. Tools are warranted for repair or replacement for up to four years, and those that fail can be sent in for repairs immediately.

Hilti innovation and its Tool Fleet Management solution makes adding new tools to a rental fleet affordable in a time when so many new equipment options aren't.
