Sunnyvale, Calif.-based Trimble last week announced that it will hold its International User Conference Nov. 5-7, at the Mirage Hotel in Las Vegas.

The theme of Trimble Dimensions 2007 — Transform Your Business with the Connected Site — reflects the conference programming, which will provide insight into how surveying, engineering, construction, mapping and geospatial professionals can apply process integration, positioning and communication technologies to transform business operations. Building a connected site allows businesses to incorporate seamless workflows to reduce rework and maximize productivity, the company says. With more than 200 sessions across multiple specialty tracks, the conference will focus on increasing productivity in the field and in the office.

“Trimble Dimensions provides an opportunity for organizations to significantly improve their productivity by learning to apply advanced positioning and information technology,” said Steven Berglund, president and CEO of Trimble. “By integrating processes and building a connected site, engineers, surveyors and construction professionals can transform the way work is done.”

The conference will also include a Partners Pavilion that will showcase the complete suite of Trimble construction, survey, engineering, aerial and mobile mapping, GIS and infrastructure solutions, including products from Tripod Data Systems (TDS), Applanix, Pacific Crest, Apache, Quantm, XYZ Solutions, Meridian Systems and INPHO. Highlighted solutions and technologies include GPS; total stations; field computing and data collection; 3D scanning; pre-design construction planning; 3D visualization; construction project management; aerial mapping; wireless communications; data transfer; and field and office software applications. Other technology providers who are Trimble partners will also participate in the conference to extend the conference’s range of products and applications.

In addition, Trimble worldwide users are invited to propose topics to present at the conference. Proposed titles and a short description of the presentation should be submitted to Trimble no later than July 13. For more information, go to www.trimbleevents.com/callforspeakers.
