Milwaukee-based ARI, a provider of technology-enabled business solutions that help equipment dealers, distributors and manufacturers build sales and profits, last week announced that Stihl Inc. will continue to support the use of PartSmart, ARI’s electronic parts catalog, by its United States dealer and distributor network.

“Earlier this year, when Stihl indicated its intention to use a different product to deliver parts information, our dealers told us they were very satisfied with PartSmart and wanted to continue using the product,” said Randy Scully, product service manager for Stihl. “After further consideration, we decided that dealers in the U.S. would be best served if we supported their use of PartSmart, a tool that they have been successfully using for more than 10 years. We believe that this decision will not only benefit our company, but our dealers, distributors and their respective customers.”

Stihl manufactures chain saws and produces a full line of handheld outdoor power equipment for homeowners and professional users.

ARI provides approximately 96 parts catalogs (many of which contain multiple lines of equipment) for approximately 71 equipment manufacturers in the U.S. and Europe. Approximately 81,000 catalog subscriptions are provided through ARI to approximately 29,000 dealers and distributors in approximately 89 countries in a dozen segments of the worldwide equipment market.
