Elgin, Ill.-based Equipment Depot recently launched a new website to reflect its name change after the merger of Material Handling Services and Illinois Material Handling in July. The website, www.eqdepotil.com, features an online catalog, a used equipment search, Internet specials and a page detailing OSHA regulations.
The company has one of the largest equipment rental fleets in the Chicago area, with more than 700 forklifts and 120 pieces of aerial and specialty equipment. It has 170 service technicians, 120 fully equipped service vans, and six service facilities strategically located throughout the Chicago area.
Equipment Depot and its sister company of the same name in Waco, Texas, are both owned by Pon North America, a division of The Netherlands-based Pon Holdings B.V., the largest privately held company in that country.
