Case Construction Equipment last week introduced a Web-based training program for the more than 350 Case dealer locations across North America.

Case Construction Equipment last week introduced a Web-based training program for the more than 350 Case dealer locations across North America. The online program incorporates elements from face-to-face training, seminars, self-directed learning programs on compact disc, online courses, webcasts and other interactive programs. The goal is to provide Case dealers with the tools and resources required to deliver the highest level of customer support in the construction equipment industry.

By the end of 2008, the online training program will feature nearly 20 web-based product training modules. In addition, more than 50 parts and service market training courses will be offered.

“As our customers face tougher market conditions, they are setting the bar higher and looking for new ways to acquire equipment and protect their investment,” said Roland Witte, manager of product sales and training for Case Construction Equipment. “Case is committed to delivering the training our dealers need to be able to provide our customers with innovative solutions for equipment, parts, warranties, financing and insurance.

“We recognize the challenges our dealers and their employees face with respect to time, skill levels and pocketbooks. This is why we developed a flexible training solution, blended learning, that is available 24/7.”

The online training initiative does not replace instructor-led training at the local, regional and national level. According to Witte, the Case training department will continue to provide face-to-face training and produce pocket guides, value selling bulletins, product information bulletins, application manuals and other print and electronic reference materials.

“Our new web-based training program provides Case dealers with a cost-effective method of delivering the information, tools and skills necessary to be successful in the construction equipment business,” Witte said.

Racine, Wis.-based Case Construction Equipment sells and supports a full line of construction equipment around the world, including loader/backhoes, articulated trucks, excavators, motor graders, wheel loaders, vibratory compaction rollers, crawler dozers, skid steers, compact track loaders, telescopic handlers and rough-terrain forklifts.
