Magnum Power Products Debuts MLT Solar Hybrid Light Tower
The new MLT4000S solar hybrid light tower by Magnum Power Products is an alternative to traditional diesel-fueled light towers. The new model features a compact, three-panel solar array that is easily deployed to charge eight on-board batteries. When the batteries become depleted during nighttime use or in poor daytime weather conditions, the LP-fueled Generac air-cooled generator turns on automatically to recharge the batteries until the solar panels can take over. The MLT4000S comes with a standard, seven-day programmable controller.
Baird/RER Q412 Survey Tracks Continued Modest Growth Pace
The fourth-quarter 2012 Baird/RER rental equipment survey continued to show revenue growth in the industry, marking a 9.3-percent year over year increase, and improving modestly from the 9.1-percent year over year third-quarter 2012 increase. Revenue trends remain solid and relatively unchanged from Q312. The updated 2013 outlook reflects expectations for continued high-single-digit growth, with pricing expected to remain a tailwind.
