Lift Fits into Tight Locations

The Sumner Roust-A-Bout jobsite lift allows one person to do a job that would typically require a crew. A single operator can position objects weighing up to 1,500 pounds with accuracy, up to 25 feet above ground.

“The Roust-A-Bout was initially designed to speed the process of installing process piping,” says Lawrence Velez, operations manager for Sumner. “It allowed one man to do the work of an entire crew.”

The design allows for loads to be placed in tight and awkward locations as well as below floor level. The Roust-A-Bout moves both horizontally and vertically, and its large 8-inch casters facilitate precision load positioning. Separate winch drums control the load line and mast elevation. For overload protection, the Roust-A-Bout comes with a spare load pulley shear pin that enables quick in-field resetting. Options include the tee head extension bar and galvanized finish.

“The Roust-A-Bout fits into tight locations where other lifts cannot,” Velez says. “It eliminates the need for scaffolding, come alongs and swing booms.”
