Hydraulic Jib Gives Boomlift Range of Motion
The XLB-4319 towable boomlift from Bil-Jax is powered by a 24-volt DC battery or 8-hp Honda engine. It offers a 43-foot maximum working height and a 19-foot side reach. The boomlift comes standard with 700 degrees non-continuous rotation and proportional controls for smooth operation. The platform has a capacity of 450 pounds. The boomlift also features a hydraulic jib for a greater range of motion and the 130-degree basket rotation is used for overhead positioning, giving the operator access to a greater work area. A hand pump allows the operator to get back on the ground in case of power loss.
The XLB-4319 boomlift weighs 3,162 pounds and can be towed by a variety of vehicles to the jobsite. A safety harness/lanyard and backing brakes are provided. The lift can also fit through double doors for indoor applications. A spare tire/wheel assembly and spare tire mounting kit are offered as options.
“One of the most popular features is that it has hydraulic outriggers, which make it easier to get up — and quicker,” says Bob Yoder, national sales manager for the aerial lift and trailer division of Bil-Jax. “Another advantage is that it has a jib that acts independently of the upper and lower boom beam.”
