National Trench Safety, a Houston-based company specializing in the rental and sale of trench safety and traffic safety equipment, last week opened a branch operation in Austin, Texas. The new facility, NTS’ fourth location, will be managed by Lee Giesen, an Austin resident and 15-year veteran of the trench safety and traffic safety industry.
NTS formed in January 2004, opened its first branch in Houston in the spring and expanded to Beaumont, Texas, in the fall of 2004. Earlier this year, NTS opened a branch in San Antonio.
“This new branch location gives NTS four large and fully staffed branch operations in Texas,” NTS president Ron Chilton said. “We are fortunate to have a manager such as Lee Giesen who has very deep industry experience and a long and successful track record specific to our industry. Our current plans call for NTS to open at least one additional new branch operation in 2005.”
Chilton added that NTS will look for existing trench safety and traffic safety companies to acquire in 2006, in addition to start-up opportunities in other states.”
