Colorado Machinery Grows With Mergers

Colorado Machinery recently completed a merger that increased its store size from five to nine and dramatically broadens its product mix and geographic reach, the company said. The Colorado Springs, Colo.-based rental company and equipment dealership April 8 finalized a merger with Romer Mercantile, based in Holly and Lamar, Colo., and Bi-State Machinery Co., based in Greeley and Fort Collins, Colo.

As a result of the transaction, Colorado Machinery broadens its focus to include sales, parts, service and rental of construction and forestry equipment, agricultural equipment and compact utility equipment. Four of the company’s nine stores will be branded as Colorado Machinery, four will operate under a new name, Colorado Equipment, and the other will operate as Bobcat of Colorado Springs, a part of Colorado Compact Equipment.

The Colorado Springs, Fort Collins, Frederick and Pueblo branches will be known as Colorado Machinery and focus on Deere construction and forestry equipment, and Ingersoll Rand equipment; Bobcat of Colorado Springs, Fort Collins and Pueblo will represent Bobcat and other Ingersoll Rand compact utility equipment; and Fort Collins, Greeley, Holly and Lamar will be known as Colorado Equipment, focusing on Deere agricultural equipment.

Colorado Machinery will be listed on this year’s soon-to-be released RER 100.
