Portland, Ore.-based Climax Portable Machine Tools opened branches in Edmonton, Alberta and Toronto last week. The company rents milling machines, lathes, boring bars, flange facers and other machine tools to the construction, mining bridge-repair and other markets. The Climax tools are designed to provide the precision of the machine shop onsite, for repair of worn or broken equipment, leaking flanges, wallowed out keyways, and other similar needs.

Climax also has locations in Los Angeles, Houston, Chicago, Philadelphia, Singapore and Cologne, Germany.
